Aide aux cinémas du monde: understanding the CNC–Institut français scheme

Aide aux cinémas du monde is the main French scheme supporting foreign films co-produced with France. Its rules are published by the CNC and the Institut français.

A jointly managed scheme

The scheme is presented by the CNC among its production support measures and by the Institut français among its project support programmes. Both institutions publish a reference page.

Applications are filed by a production company established in France, for a feature project directed by a foreign director, under the conditions detailed on those pages.

How to prepare an application

Read the up-to-date official page, identify the target session, assemble the artistic file, the budget, the financing plan and partner commitments, then check that the chain of title is compliant.

AFRIK'ART FILMS systematically refers to the official texts rather than summaries: criteria and calendars are revised regularly.
